Energy is the cornerstone of the progress of human civilization and economic and social development. At present, the global energy landscape is undergoing profound transformation and facing severe challenges, making energy security and sustainable development a major issue confronting all countries around the world.

As a core carrier of talent cultivation and scientific and technological innovation, higher education serves as a key force in addressing energy challenges and advancing green and low-carbon transition. To jointly discuss topics related to global energy development and transformation, promote cross-border coordination of educational and technological resources, and build a dialogue platform for academic exchanges, educational cooperation and technical collaboration in the global energy sector, China University of Mining and Technology will host the International Forum on Global Energy Development and Transformation in Xuzhou, China from April 17 to 19, 2026.

The forum will feature multiple academic discussion sessions, hold a dialogue between Chinese and foreign university presidents focusing on the energy sector, and release the Higher Education Cooperation Initiative for Global Energy Sector on site. It will contribute to building a clean, low-carbon, safe, efficient and sustainable global energy system, and make due contributions to jointly building a clean and beautiful world!
